bulk DI resin - looking to split large order

I'm looking for 3 people with whom to split an order of 1 cubic foot of bulk DI resin.

I haven't personally used this resin, but have heard from someone who's using it and they feel it's superior to the commonly available color-changing resins. This can be used in any refillable DI cartridge.

Price for 1 cuft is $130 plus around $40-50 for shipping, so splitting it 4 ways would come to around $45 and that would still be a lot of resin. From what I gathered, 1 cuft is approx 43 lbs so you'd be getting almost 11 lbs of resin. For comparison, I've been paying $25 for 18 oz of color-changing resin!

Btw, if any sponsor wants to offer bulk resin at comparable prices, I would definitely prefer to buy locally.

Richard: no, it's not color-changing. You'd need to test the output with a TDS meter to see if the resin is spent, but then again that's good practice anyway.

As I mentioned above, Brendan is trying to see if he can get us a similar price locally, so I'll wait a few more days for his input. If he can't, then I'll place the order sometime next week and I'll PM you guys to discuss pick-up, payment, etc.

I've just heard from Brendan today, and unfortunately he won't be doing this pooled order, so I'm ready to order online.

The only thing I wanted to settle first is pick-up of the resin by the people who live farther away from me... if it's here in time, I can bring it to the next meeting and you could pick up there (assuming you're goingl or you could have someone close to you pick it up and bring it down to you); if not, then you guys would have to pick up around the Boston area (I don't usually go south of Boston, I'm about 20 miles NW, but I can meet you somewhere closer to Boston).

There's no need to pay in advance as I don't have a fixed quote on the shipping, so I'll make the payment and then we can split the actual cost.

Jason and Dawn: since you guys live the farthest away (ReeferMedic is in Woburn, that's pretty close), please let me know how you want to do it for pick up... I'll place the order once I hear from you.

Just wanted to update you guys... I called them today and they haven't shipped it out yet, were hoping to ship it today or tomorrow (apparently 1 cuft is a very small order for them, they have to open a larger container and measure the smaller amount, which delayed it... at least that's what they told me)
