Can an will a coral banded shrimp eat fish?

I have a fairly large coral banded shrimp an was wondering if it's possible for him to eat one of my fish. I had two gold nugget clowns an one disappeared I just figured he jumped or something. But then I put two Picasso's in the tank an one is kinda small an I put a flash light on the tank to check on them an found the shrimp like stalking them so I scared him away. An now I'm curious to if he is to blame for my missing nugget an wondering if he'll strike again. I've also seen him grab an hold on to one of my mandarins. Any input would be helpful. Thanks

I had a rather large CBS for years and never had it eat fish. It would eat shrimp pellets from my hand.
They are very protective when it comes to their little space in the tank.
I'd look for another cause for the fish disappearing.

Yeah I figured that pretty sure it jumped I just wanted to get some input cause I've seen em be real aggressive an last night he went way outa his way to creep on my clowns but thnx for the input I appreciate it

I have a pair of large Coral Banded and they seem so mean at times lunging at fish but so far seems to be more threatening to protect their space than catching dinner. The first time I saw it though I had to do some research and everything I found listed them as peaceful to fish and so far nothing missing has been attributed to them.

Did you check the overflow box?

Yeah I check everything my sump, filter sock, the ground, under my skimmer. Sucks but stuff happens
