Canopy Build Question: Hardware stainless?

Do i need to use stainless hinges? Are brass ok? Are normal hinges ok (mild steel coated i think)

I would stick with the stainless. Brass will corrode in no time, so will coated mild steel.
I got my hinges at a local marine store, they had a huge selection.
