Bought a flame angel today. He was healthy, typical territorial hazing from the established fish. I went outside for maybe 10 minutes, came in, fish is on the floor. Don't know how long. I picked him up, he was almost dry. He took a gasp for air. I tossed him in the frag tank quick and he floated. I grabbed him and put him in front of the powerhead to move water across his gills. He snapped back to life but really looked like crap. It has been a few hours but he is staying to the bottom. he is upright, not laying on his side but doesn't seem the same as when I got him. Looks like his skin is shedding on the side that was on the floor.
What are the chances he survives?
Is the shedding normal?
If he survives, is it possible he is brain damaged from lack of oxygen?
My frag tank is only 20 gallon high. Should I leave him there so he has a better shot finding food if he is brain damaged?
