So long story short my buddy got burnt on a tank yesterday. He either wants to fix it or possibly sell it to recoup some of his money. I maybe interested. It's 3/5" glass and the chip doesn't seem to go all the way to the seam. I'm going to go by and help him move it out of his driveway and clean the silicone that's smeared on the outside to see what it looks like. The prior owner told him once dropped in his driveway that it has a plate of glass given to him from water box silicone on the inside but never leaked. What's the chances that it's fine to epoxy the outside so it's not sharp and the thing will be fine. I can get it for a good price if he doesn't keep it or is it just asking for disaster?
