not to try to disrupt the post but happyasaclam.us also has group order discounts and have the nicest clams i've ever seen, at good prices! Not sure if they have the free shipping though......

OK So I spoke with Barry from Clams Direct. He is going to do the pooled order for us.

All you need to do is place the order for the clam you want directly on the site. The shopping cart will list shipping but the credit card won't be charged, just indicate "BRS POLLED ORDER" on your order. If you're paying paypal, indicate "phone order" and send the amount for the clam to barry@clamsdirect.com

There will be a $10 for the box, to be split within us. Delivery will be on Saturday at Boston Fedex. Orders need to be picked up at my place from 12:30 to 4:30.

just a suggestion. why dont you do for pickup at the meeting in Quincy on the 30th. more people will probably jump on in.

I Believe that there are plenty of local vendors with great Clams, no shipping, and great prices. I am sure they would be glad to do a BRS groupbuy on Clams.
Not to mention the very bad experiences with Clams from "certain" online vendors.
