What are folks using for cleaning magnets on their glass or acrylic?

Brand names, whats good, whats bad , prices, does it float or not.

Any suggestions?

I'm in the market but want to purhase the right one the first time.....

This would be for a 180 gal Acrylic tank.

Thanks

Rob

magnavore are great...got mine for a great price from reefdom.com, one of the sponcers, give them a try and see what they have for you.

Can ya use a Magnavore on an acrylic tank? Or are we talking scratch city?

mickey (mike) has a large one on his acrylic tank, I belive they have acrylic safe pads.

they have different pads, i have even heard people getting a buffing pad to help with scratches on acrylic.

i dont think you can beat them.

we should try to get a sponcer to do a group buy on these things, im down for 1 or 2 they are awesome.

magnavore

Do they float?

I found the magnavore 4er for 59.99 + shipping

not sure how good of a price that compare to a group buy

my guess is it will probably be about the same price but we could give the business to a local person. Im going to ask and see if there is interest.

I've been using the Mag IIX with the acrylic safe pads, for the last 2 years....great product, I would never want to be without them.

I have owned a Magnavore for 3years and it's worth every penny. I have used the same one for glass and acrylic. There is an additional pad for acrylic. The strongest magnet cleaner I have seen. DO NOT LET CHILDREN GET THERE HANDS ON THEM. They can break fragile fingers. And they do not float but take alot to remove from any surface. Also do not let the two pieces touch or you will have to send them back to the company to seperate.

The new ER (extended reach) Magnavores do float and they are great. The ER feature has the inside part extend beyond the outside part (larger) on one side. This allows you to get up and behind the tank frame at the top.

i posted in the group buy section so we can get and idea of demand.

Thanks,

Casey
