Cloudy tank

I did a 40 gallon water change yesterday, same salt etc etc. Got up this am to a cloudy tank! Any idea's? Looks like milk has been poured in the tank.

Do you have a bunch of snails? We once had all our snails spon at once and our tank also looked like milk.

Yes i do have a lot. This is what it looks like. I am currently making 30 gallons, for another water change.

Very likely that something spawned like snails. Just run some carbon and maybe another water change and you should be fine.

It does look like a bacteria bloom.

Did you clean any of the equipment used for the water change with vinegar or alcohol?

Also could be calcium precipitation. All of your dosing pumps OK? What are CA and ALK right now?

I want to say if you use probiotic salt, with that much water change, bacteria bloom can happen, but that is just me say...

Did another water change of 30 gals, changed the carbon. Its brand new this morning, all back to normal.

110 gallon Display 30 odd gallon sump.

no equipment vinegar clean.

no more probiotic salt. Gone back to reef crystals the last few months.

What ever it was its gone now. crystal clear.

Or you may have a calcium carbonate storm. After that, the water will be crystal clear.
