Clown Aggressiveness

If they become super aggressive such as ripping your hand apart when you put it in the tank? Could that mean that they are at the stages of laying eggs?

My clown bites me all the time... darts out and wham, i'm bleeding. little suckers can move fast...

Its funny because everyone always says how Maroons are so aggesive and will bite hands but Ive had my for a year and never a nip. *knock on wood* Granted, I try to avoid bothering him and putting hands in the tank in general but still no aggresion. He would take food out of my hands though so hes not a wimp. :)

Mine weren't aggressive till I downsized.... I think they got pissed from all the moving. And I sure hope I don't ever get bit to where it draws blood... !

shaggy!

In the imortal words of Shaggy"zoinks!" mine hasn't bitten me yet and i hope he doesn't!!

Mine always seems to get me in the tender part of my fingers.... now that I got rid of the Engineer Goby, I won't have to get bit so much...

I have 2 false percs and neither one has ever tried to bit me. My understanding is that the false percs tend to be a bit more docile.

Huh?

My percs live in a 120 and they are totally docile

My maroons are in a 20 and they (she) consistently comes after my hand like a ninja in a bad mood.

Does size of tank have anytyhing to do with maroon aggression?

I have O. Clowns..... the minute I get near, they go into attack mode, they didn't do that in my 75g.
