I put 5 percs, babies, in my 180 and they fought
You can do it. One of our customers has 6 pairs of clowns in their 220g, and definitely multiple customers have more than 1 pair of clownfish. Usually they end up finding their own spot. 150g is big enough for 2 pairs to sort it out. Of course in the end they are fish so nothing is 100% guaranteed.
One thing that seems to have worked great for a lot of our customers is an acclimation box. The cheaper route that I recommend my customers to take is to go to PetCo, and they have clear acrylic boxes with holes in them. After acclimating the new fish, put it in that box and hang it in the tank. Let the fish get used to each other and other fish, and then release them. So for you, 2 clowns will be in the tank, and other 2 will be in the acclimation box for a few hours or a day or two.
Hope that helps!
You can try it but I will say that it will not work for the long run.
Occelaris might be okay but Percula(onyx) are a lot more aggressive and will kill off each other until there's two left.
I've tried many times as I love Onyx clowns.
Are they hosting in anything? Clowns are more territorial when they have something to protect. Definitely be prepare to scoop them out.![]()
