swampy

Has anyone had this before? Will any type of snails/fish/?? eat it? Is manual removal the best method?

It's starting to take over. :(

Thanks

looks like a macro algae.. imo

We have it as well. Emerald crabs always seem to eat it, but they also spread it around when dropped pieces float onto other rocks:rolleyes:. But as long as you have emerald crabs in your tank they seem to keep it nice and trimmed back. Although, in all honesty, you don't HAVE to remove it. From what I have heard and witnessed, it is perfectly safe and just provides a little texture and color.;)

You can take it out if you want but its great for nutrient export.

Thanks for all the responses.
I'll try adding one Mexican Turbo to see how he does, I only have a 29g. It is taking over a bit and my Emerald crab isn't keeping up. Some of this is my falt as I tried to remove some and I think I just made worse. :( Lost on the sand which I'll remove manually.

Thanks Again!!
