collecting phyto/rotifers

)I'm trying to breed clowns and im just wondering, instead of spending 30 on a sieve to collect them can i just use a 50 micron filter?

No clue but wouldn’t it be hard to get them off the filter sock?

I meant to use it like a coffee filter method

The only time I’ve seen them collected was with that sieve and they had to be flushed out with a squirt bottle. That’s why i said they’d probably stick to a sock or filter. Again this is only me thinking out loud lol

You could use a coffee filter I believe, but better off with a sieve.

ok I'm very patient so ill just use a coffee filter and watch it slowly drain

I would def do that as a short term option. Sieve would be be better and easier for you long term
