Comparitive bulb to 14K Phoenix

I am upgrading from 150's to 250's on my 90. I like the Phoenix 14K look now on my 150's in case I do not use acintics.

For DE and SE what bulbs would be comparable color and good quality? The Phoenix 14K only makes DE's in 150 I believe.

Thanks

I guess they do have a 250 Phoenix 14K I just found it.

Any advice on 250 bulbs? What people like besides this? What I am getting has bulbs but I would like to eventually replace them so I know where I start.

what ballasts does your new fixture have?

According to Sanjay, the Phoenix 14K @ 250w, the Radium 20K 250SE, and the Aquaconnect 14K are basically exactly the same bulb.

The spectral charts for the Radium, and Aquaconnect against the Phoenix are in my RC gallery

huh???
the spectral plots may be close but the radium is a SE produces less par, Yes the pheonix is claimed to be a chinese clone of the aquaconnect, their spectral plots and output are virtually identical

The Radium Produces 85 Par, the Phoenix 88. Thats close enough that it could just be individual bulb differences. My point is, theyre pretty much the same.

From everything I've heard, the phoenix and aquaconnect are the same bulb. One is basically being resold by one company, and the other is being resold by a different company.

on a 250 watt icecap ballast a pheonix produces 90 par and a radium 66
hardly characteristics of similar bulbs.

Hence my initial question "what ballast will you be using"
