Coral problems

THE WOOKIE

Just Keep Swimming
Recently i have noticed my idaho grape cap growing what looks like cyano all over it, my german blue digi grew insanely fast but lost some color, a monti confusa started to STN and has absolutely no polyp extension, and my duncans do not open even half as wide as the should. Could this be from low calcium?

Sounds like a high phosphate issue, what is the phosphate level?

.08 read on the hanna checker. Should i add more GFO?

That is very low on Phosphate, how are your other parameters including salinity?

we need more info...

alk calc mag nitrates etc...system info would be good too.

Busting out the test kits right now.

Ca- 450
Alk- 13.7 DKH or 4.9 Meq/L
Mg-1000ppm
PH-8.2
Ammonia- 0ppm

your mag is quite low compares to Calcium and Alk. Do you dose two-parts?

I am using the seachem reef foundation system to keep levels in check and dose kalk through my ATO (i use 6 teaspoons for 5 gallons)

Guess its time to mix up the Bulk Reef Mg chloride. Never thought i would have to use it.

Does the seachem reef foundation includes mg?
