Coralife Super Skimmer Question

I have been using a Coralife Super Skimmer 200 for about two months. It works great and I am very happy with its operation. However twice this week, overnight the skimmer went from working perfectly to overskimming and overflowing the collection cup, without me making any adjustments. I have heard that these skimmers are sensitive to water levels but I do not have an excessive evaporation rate.

Has anyone else experienced this. Any ideas on what might be causing this to happen. I am lucky to have this in my sump as opposed to using it in a hangon situation. Thanks.

I had a similar problem with mine recently. With mine it seemed to be in direct conjunction with how far the return tube went into the bubble diffuser. When I pulled the return tube out a little it corrected itself. Cutting some eggcrate into small circles and putting it into the bubble diffuser made it some the return line couldn't get too low in the diffuser.

I have the same problem with my SS. It is very sensitive to water height changes.
