I seen this last night, and again today in almost the same place. It is definately moving on the glass. Looks like a tiny slug. This is the best picture I can possibly get with my camera, I took about 10 until I was confident this is the best I could do. Is it some type of flatworm? Its the small yellow thing in the center of the pic, second pic is for size reference, its tiny. (please excuse my dirty glass, I should have cleaned it before the pic :p )

Looks like a flatworm.

flat worm and yes they r.get a malanarus wrass.they eat them up and keep them in check

I wouldn't go and buy a melanurus wrasse unless you have a FOWLR tank, they are not reef safe fish nor do they do well in small tanks(I'm not sure what size tank you have but putting it out there ad general knowledge). Also, I would never buy a fish to take care of nuisance pest that I knew I could supply their natural diet after the problem was taken of.

Are you able to take your corals out and place them in Qt and treat the tank and corals separately. If not you can use Flat worm exit if the population is minimal and have the means to do sizable water changes. The toxins the flat worms release when they die off can compromise your tank. I would check the tank out for a few days and size up what you are having to deal with before making any firm decisions.

Not going to panic just yet; I am changing tanks soon and if there's any chance that this will be an issue I will treat all corals before they go into the other tank, as well as the fact that I will not be using any of the rock work from this tank. I have seen two (possibly the same one twice) in two days, I am no where near concerned about an infestation; at least not right now.

that's the best approach to have, take things slow and treat accordingly. Make sure you dip and QT all incoming corals and if you are setting up a new tank this is the perfect tiem to treat the corals and put them in QT while the new tank cycles. You can use the same rock if you do treat it. Sounds like you are off to a good start.

The good news is the current tank they are in is going to be my QT once the other system is running so in the future I will be able to keep an eye on new arrivals!

melanarus wrass is reef safe.i have 1 right now in my 54 corner tank.if u r changing tank then what Tabittha said is the way to go
