and agree with JohnK on the thought of having a good refractometer for doing hypo... as if you dont, and you lower your salinity, your 1.009 reading could really be a couple points less, which could mean the difference between life and death of your fish, regardless of its ailments... hypo is a very touchy thing...
At one time Cupramine was the one everyone was talking about.But not sure what the best stuff is now to kill the parasite.

It used to be a very popular product that had very good reviews.Just wasn't sure if anything new had come out that's better.
It can be found at any good LFS.Just posted the link so the OP could get a picture of the bottle.
According to the "LFS" my clowns kicked the crap out of my fish, and I don't have ick and she tested my water and said it was high on nitrait and ammonia I have no clue how. Also told me that ick didn't kill saltwater fish and that it will always be in the tank. I went to another store looking for copper base treatment and they only had one that said at 1 tbs per 4 gals treats 4 gals. Needless to say I didn't get it. If any of you know a place online where I can buy the copper treatment & test kit please pm me the link. I am going to treat for it anyway.

this drives me up the friggen wall... how are they supposed to know what happened to your other fish... telling you what happened when its your tank and they werent there... also, that ich cant be gotten rid of... and that your high on ammonia, when i am assuming your tank is fully cycled... i would love to able to test your water myself, so i could call them out on the BS...

Yeah that's what I said. I told her I just did a water change and she was like will look at this it's high you must be taking to much water and your clowns killed it. But what got me was the ick is always in the tank. Also do you know a site I can buy that treatment and the tester for it? I really appreciate all this help guys. I truly do.

If the water did test for nitrite and ammonia I would double check that, it suggests that the tank is still cycling to some extent. (was the dead fish in the water she tested? that would explain it)
"ick is in every tank" is 100% BS. Not that there aren't people who believe that to be true, but those people are misinformed and not the ones to be getting advice from.
I forget your location, was it in Maine somewhere? If it's not Tooo far, there are a couple of good LFS's in salem Nh that will have what you need. If not, marinedepot.com or premiumaquatics.com come to mind. If you need a little help on the phone (like makeing sure your getting a test kit that is compatible with the copper you get, premiumaquatics is probably a little more likely to have someone helpful IME)

No John she tested a stample I took at 3:30 this morning. Also I let me tank cycle for 2 to 3 months. I mean I guess I could have taken to much water out in the change but it was like border line from good to the first line past. Yeah I am going to test again when I switch the fish into the QT. Yeah I live right near the NH boarder.
