cutting tank stand w full tank

If you just drain the water down to just above the sand and have a good plan and everything ready it won't matter that the rock is not under water for 15 min off so it will take you to cut the brace change sump and replace the brace.that way you don't have to move your rocks.that stand even without that brace should hold up the weight of only your tank sand and rocks.I would use a temp brace anyway though

im just going to drain 30-40% water and then cut the brace and use temp braces.

Hey guys, just wanna give an update, and a shout out to everyone who posted here that helped me out. The old man and I cut the center brace and temporarily supported it with new braces while we switched out the sumps. Unfortunately we had to cut the old plumbing out and finagle it back in after, it was a pretty big delay. I didn't take many pictures because it was a lot of work, it took roughly 3 hours. I didn't mind the plumbing set back because it allowed me to pop a union in there for future endeavors of such magnitude. Anyways im really happy how it turned out and im really glad i have a resource like BRS to ask questions like these. Thanks everyone!!
