Something is going on with my tank but all my test are good other than my Ph which is at 7.8. Im going to add some carbon and do a water change. Is there anything else I can do? Thanks

Dead fish, zoas got pox, frogs spawn melted

I was doing some dip for the zoas when the frog spaw started looking bad. Today the fish died.

sea chem coral disinfectant. I might have mixed it with my finger and then grabed the coral. But would this cause all of it?

I took some tank water in a separate container and then added a few drops. I mixed it with my finer and then took out the zoas and put them in for a 10 minutes then i took them out and placed them in the tank

I had them checked at Krystal clear aquatics and they gave me the same reading

thats weird. your readings are ok and no fish or coral would die from those unless there was a drastic change. There has to be some chemical or electrical source in my opinon. I hope some one with more years then me chimes in. Although I have 5 years of salt water fish experience, so I am good with fish problems but I will never claim to be an expert.

Do you have enough surface agitation/circulation. Sounds like oxygen depletion.
How did they die.
Slow?
Fast?
What do they look like?
Frogspawn looked bad?Explain?
Going to adjust PH............how?
If PH is low and the alk is in reason it usually points to pour aeration as mentioned above.

The zoa got pox, then the frog started to melt and then 1 fish died.
The fish died prety fast and I found it stuck to my power head. He locked fine just dead. I was going to bring the ph up with ph buffer. All the other fish look fine. I think I might have too much flow. The frog spawn looked like it was melting away. I duped it and it healed and looks fine bow. The zoas started to open but still ahve bumps on them. I will probably do another dip.
