diy wet dry. will acrylic stick to glass?

I have a 55 gallon I am thinking of making into a wet/dry for my freshwater tank. do you think the pieces of acrylic will stick to the glass with silicone?

I have made several wet/drys and sumps with acrylic and silicone. works great. Just let the silicone sit for 24 hrs.

I have a 75 g sump right now that is made that way.

If you want some insurance, just gusset the dividers. I use 1" strips of the same acrylic on flat either side of the panel. They help with assembly too. You can use them as sort of a jig and just "stack" (vertically) your panels alternating panel-strip-panel etc...when your done you end up with a nice strong assembly.
