I use the eheim jager glass heaters as well. They seem to be the most accurate.

As for titanium heaters, they are technically “titanium alloy” heaters. Depending on the manufactures, the composition of the titanium body varies. Some may be resistant to saltwater, some not so much.

I'm still using my 2010 original apex. What do I have to look forward to when I upgrade?

Nothing good. Eb8 is junk. Trident reaching 1 years and calibration won't work. Backing up with tests. Probes useless

As long as they are they old school ones.
I have had a lot of ones less than 10 years old crap out on me. But still have 20 year old ones going solid.
I remember wven the rep was telling me she was not happy with the newer "cheaper" version when they switched.
