Does anyone have a Reef Savvy tank?

I'm looking to get a custom tank down the rode and have been looking around. Just wondering if anyone has a Reef Savvy tank and how you like it. I definitely like their Ghost Overflow and would have that integrated in the new tank.

I saw reef savvy tank at macna 2 years ago and have been in love since. If I was going custom they would be my first choice. I love bean animal (ghost) over flows and use those in my tanks currently.

I have not seen the tank itself but I wouldn't hesitate to work with Felix at Reef Savvy. When I talked with him, he was a very knowledgeable guy both about tank building and reef building. And from what I've seen on forums, their tanks are very high quality. Give him a call. I think their tank has a 5 years warranty(?) when I was thinking about doing a custom with him.
What size tank and dimension you are going for? The bigger the tank, the more you want to go with higher quality tank builder.

you can say that again ;)

disclaimer: This is not an endorsement just a joke

Hahahaha. Yeah, I've been having issue with either my web browser or this site but sometime when I post quick reply, it asks me do I have to leave the page or stay. Depending on what I click, I either get double post or no post.

I've ran bean overflows before and they are definitely the way to go.

That's good to hear. I'm not going with anything big. Just looking for a shallow 48" tank and I love the look of rimless tanks.

The tank at macna was over 200g and rimless. Never saw a tank that size with no bracing. This one had dual ghost overflows.

Rimless tank can go a lot bigger than 200gallon. Just the the glass will be very thick and bottom Will most likely double pane. The height of the tank is somewhat limited to 24-26" but it can be quite big. Heck, Elos has been making the 160XL(200gallon) for many years and this one was custom made to a member on RC with over 370gallons.

Yep, the bottom was crazy thick and it think it was only 20" high. I also don't get out much so me saying I've never seen one could really be said about a lot of things.

Lol. Did you read the thread or my post?
That ELos is 26" high. My tank is 24" high. Reef savvy can also make 26" high rimless.

Definitely a nice looking tank. Short and stout like me :o

Hey me, I think you got my intent wrong. I was agreeing with you by confirming this tank met your parameters that it has a thick base and was under the height you mentioned. I'm not contesting they can't be made higher or bigger.

Lol. I reread your post and I get what you meant now. :)
Once you go rimless, you'll never want to go back even if it means you can't keep jumper fish.

I got a Reef Savvy Quote back just last week for an in wall I want to do 3200 seems like a lot for a 180 Gallon custom dimentions ghost overflow and euro bracing.

Are they really worth that kinda money I know they are nice but their has to be some other options no?

There are other cheaper options like Glass Cages. I have a frag tank from them but I want something nicer and cleaner than the quality I see in the frag tank.

I would love to see one of their tanks. I am hoping to get a tank from them but if they are that much, maybe I will be looking somewhere else

That tank and stand is close to 10k (the pictures I posted from macna)

You can go to their website and build your tank and then they email you the quote. I got my quote within a few days. They didn't chase me down or hound me afterward. Give it a shot.
