Does AQUAMEND make your skimmer go nuts?

I just used ( last night ) Home Depot AQUAMEND to attach a bunch of rock together.

Within a half an hour or so my skimmer started to go insane. Non-stop production of bubbly liquid. The collection cup and filled 6 or 7 times......if I empty it it's full again very quickly.

I'm a little worried that something else got into the tank, anyone else used aquamed and had a case of the bubbles?

I've never had that experience with Aquamend, but I know other people here say it's quite common, so I wouldn't worry about it. People say that despite the wet foam for a bit there are no ill-effects from aquamend.

Is that the gray epoxy? If so, it does the same thing to my skimmer. Lasts for days and puts all these micro bubbles into the tank. I've never seen it hurt anything though.

Any epoxy product will do that. If you poke around you'll see a thread where someone even had their skimmer go nuts just by painting in the same room as the tank. Epoxy contains lots of organic chemicals (as do paints, super glue, etc). The foam your skimmer makes exists largely because of those organics so if you put them right into the tank (like when you epoxy rocks together) the skimmer will go nuts.

Never had a problem with Aquamend and the skimmer and I use it a lot....I guess because of the price....
