Dont just calibrate your probe, clean it too.

PH probe almost gave me heart attack with PH level droped below 7.5. Luckily I have PH test kit on hand so I could diagnosed the issue.

I didn't think the probe was malfunction or need a calibration because I just did it last month. It turn out that the probe had some thin slime film covered. Cleaning solved the problem right away.

Another lesson learned.

Good idea. I soak mine in a 4.0 solution for about 3 hours and then recalibrate it........it works really well like that.
