Folks, I must admit, I have let my tank get a lil out of control over the last year.. The corals are exploding out the top, and species are taking over others... of note, there are also a "bloom" of mojanos and aptasias. The tank is a 72 gallon community reef, with lots of hard corals (LPS, SPS, etc)
I bought a Filefish.. I read that they will eat (as a preference ) the aptasia and mojanos (in hope, before the LPS) .. I'm willing to sacrifice SOME of the LPS and or Zoas in order to control the other more pressing problems...
Can anyone tell me how to get this guy to eat? (aptasia, mojano) ?
My goal: once these problems are under control, then do a coral "thin out" and remove the filefish.
THoughts ideas?
The file fish has been in almost a week, and I can't tell if he's eating. He seems to hide out more often than not.. doesn't seem to be bothered at all by other fish.
