Dream fish room with twin 450's has started!

When's the tank tour scheduled? Still cant wait to see this in person eventually!!!
Id love to show them, and ill definitely keep this updated. Ive promised my wife that before one drop of water is in the tanks, the rest of the renovation will be completed. So, im gonna have to muster as much patience as possible. Its gonna be a few months....but ill update as the pumps and lights are purchased, etc. The hardest part for me is seeing all the fish ill eventually have, being traded/sold. Im constantly saying "Oh that one is a perfect one" knowing ive gotta wait....

Thanks for the kind words guys!

Johnny

Im going to build the aquascape with Marco Rocks and try to emulate the structures like this photo, im sure youve all seen the BRS videos of this NSA aquascape.

Its been almost a year exactly since ive posted. Ive got an update. The freshwater is plumbed and theres water in it for the leak test.

All the wood pictured is Manzanita driftwood and is totally beautiful and amazing and wicked expensive. (Currently floating, not yet waterlogged)

My wife was asking me when i was gonna put water in these damn things....well, I contracted with Something Fishy out of RI and they spent 2 full days so far, back tomorrow to finish up...

So, stage 1 of setup is the freshwater tank, the auto topoff and mixing station.

I had the guys from Something Fishy come in and level the tank and stand, as the floor was all wonky. Then they plumbed it all up in awesome orange PVC with gray fitings. Looks awesome, im very pleased.

Floating, non water logged Manzanita driftwood...lol

While i was finishing my basement, i ran pex in the walls and ceiling for the auto top off. Heres the 7 stage RODI plumbed thru the pex which comes out of the wall behind sump underneath tanks...the RODI is in the closet with sink, adjacent to the water main of house

The mixing station is also plumbed with awesome orange PVC, and consists of two 105 gallon storage tanks located in the homes utility room which is next to the fish room.

Final finishing touches of stage 1 will be completed tomorrow.

Stage 2 of the project will be the pluming of the saltwater tank and its auto top off. Im thinking stage 2 will be a few months out, as this is some expensive stuff.

I want to say that dealing with Something Fishy has been great, they are super professional, super knowledgeable and they do great work. Im very happy so far.

Once my budget allows, stage 2 will begin. In the mean time ive got to get that marco rock aquascape going, i thinknits gonna be a steep learning curve, and im gonna need a hell of a lot more from marco rocks.....

So there ya go, happy days!
