The overflows aren't loud.. its the lack of a durso that's loud, or something to control the noise.. You can't just put up the overflow and a bulkhead you need more stuff so it's not loud.

The black box wont affect the noise at all.

i understand this. the lack of room in the box makes it very difficult to build something that will control the volume. a external durso never works as well as an internal.

then in the sump a T and breather i get no water noises. dont think i have sump pic to show ya ill look.

they get into the tubes of the overflow, blocking water draining to the sump, which causes the return pump to push WAY too much water back up to the display, overflowing the tank.

Snail finds it's way into overflow.
Inhibits the water from flowing back to the sump.
Water backs up=flood
