Duncan vs. Aipastia

Can aipastia kill off a head or two a duncan? I had a duncan that has been closed for a few days and two heads of it that were near an aipastia are totally dead, they melted(?), all that is left now is the skeleton(?) of the duncan on that side(where the two heads were). The rest of it has either been closed or openning slightly for a few days. It has been fine in my tank for over 9 months. It started as three heads and has grown to fourteen full heads and a few more baby heads are on it. Everything else in the tank is fine and my params. in check. Could it be something else? I also nuked the aipastia.

Aptasia are anemones and do sting so it's entirely possible.

I used Joe's Juice, but the damage had already been done. That's how I noticed the aiptasia.
