Durso flushing

I drilled another hole in the cap at 2316hrs.
So far (elapsed time = 30 mins), no flushing.
Lets see if the extra hole solves the problem.

Duroso's aren't nearly as hard to tune as it seems. Buy a bunch of PVC caps and play around.

Flushed.

a bigger hole for flow in order?

any luck yet Moe.Mine took some messing around with, they are not flushing but they are roaring like a couple of jet engines.
Anyone have a solution for noise coming out of the drilled hole?

After that one flush last night, I haven't heard a peep. :)
If it acts up again, I 'll have to mod like Marc posted.

thanks Marc,i will give it a try

Moe,

Another solution to the simple air hole is to install a tiny ball valve. They sell these things at HD or Lowes with a John Gusset fitting on one end and a threded NPT 1/4", 3/8", or 1/2" on the other end. Just drill a hole in the cap big enough to slip the threads into. No need to tap the hole. Put some super glue, hot glue, or silicone around the valve/cap interface to stick it there and make it airtight. Then...Voila - you have an adjustable air hole for about $3.50. The inlet to the ball valve at 1/4" ID or 3/8 ID is big enough that salt won't easily clog it and you now have adjustablity if things such as flow rate or sump arrangement changes in the future.

OOPS...Sorry for the echo Marco67. Didn't see your response when I posted my reply.

Thanks, Rob.
Just got another flush tonight. Weird.
