Ecotech Marine VorTech Propeller Pump

Well just bit the bullet had some money sitting in my ebay account and purchased a Ecotech Marine VorTech Propeller Pump. after some research on r/c their seems to be a lot of offers from ice cap ck it out.. hers the thread link ...http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=999936

I have a vortec and to be honest, I have mixed feelings for this pump.

It has great flow, but at the higher settings it makes quite a bit of noise. It is next to where my wife sits in the livingroom and gets turnded down in the evening. When running at the lowest settings, it tends to start and stop. It isnt on a controller.

I am looking to add a second pump and not sure if I want a Tunze or another Vortec. I do have an modified MJ, which works well but doesnt have the flow that I am getting from the vortec.

Have you been in contact with ice cap i did read somewhere that their was a problem and their was an update to fix it their all so extending the warranty on the units. all so if it's not poisoned wright with the out side unit it will make a lot of noise... from what i read but i will find out soon.
