My API kit showed my calcium was 450 ppm and when they tested at the last meeting it was 505.Not sure what they used.

I don't know yet. I'm going to bring a water sample to the store and see what our test kits there have to say.
I'm leaning towards the Elos. The numbers make more sense to me. (Translation: Elos tells me what I WANT to hear!)

I just got my Elos Ca test from CRA and with Elos my Calcium is reading 450 while Salifert is at 410ppm. I'm going to stick with Elos.
Interesting, that's basically opposite of the trend a lot of people have seen.
How are you holding the dropper bottle on the elos kit? (horizontal, vertical, somewhere in between) It makes a big difference how you hold it, It should be held verticle as you add the drops, if not the reading will come out high.

John I held the dropper vertical. I agree I fully expected my calcium to read somewhere in th 350ppm range based on what other results have been.
