I'm probably around the 5g per week mark, I really need to get the new tank on a stand and finally fill her up, not having ATO is driving me nuts!
I'm up to a pint on the 3 gal. Keeping up with it is getting tough!![]()
So has anyone gone to any creative lengths to stop the evaporation? I having been topping off a 5G jug every week on my 72. Covered 46 and 26 have been fine, but the big(ger) open-air guy is another story.
Anyone cover their tanks overnight to try to lock everything in? Wrap a sump in a garbage bag? Anything to make this madness stop?? The water loss itself is not of too much concern, but it quickly affects the height of water in the return and a mass of bubbles start blowing into the tank.
-3-4 gallons a day in the 110. I have hard water in the well so the poland spring comany has been getting rich off me....
With the behemoth boiler in the same room, I'm losing about 1.5 gallons/day in my 40 gallon rimless...
Jeesh Paul, even after all of the water evaporated out of your display?
it sounded funnier in my head. Loses even more when i have to explain it.. so i'll just let it die =/.
