What's up guys,

What's the general consensus in the hobby about using expired food, medication, additives, test kits, and test reagents? I have a ton of expired stuff that I've picked up from fellow hobbyists along the way, and I want to know just how far I can push some of this stuff.

For what it's worth, I tossed a bunch of stuff yesterday that I found expired. I know it all adds up but a $10-$15 additive that is expired, isn't worth whatever risk it may bring. Just my two cents..

Some test kit reagents work well past their expiration date. Don't quote me but I believe Red Sea test kits have reagents that don't ever go bad and I'm sure there are a few others with similar reagents.
