Hello, I just wanted to hear what some think about this combination of fish and feedings.
What kind, how much, when... etc. What would you do?

1 med blue hippo
1 med yellow sailfin
4 sm 3 ring damsels
2 sm perc clown
1 sm coral beauty angel

TIA!

Nori should be added every other day, preferably every day for the tangs, and dont skimp on it...

Agreed, SOME say to feed every other day or every 3 days.... Tangs are very active and need to be fed often...

My 4 tangs know it's feeding time as soon as the MH's turn off!!! they start pacing near the top... pretty entertaining!

How much nori? I've seen sheets the size of a piece of paper!

i would start with a 3 x 3 inch peice... and go from there... its ok that it is left in there and not eaten all at once, tangs are grazers, and will eat all day, ever day... but you have two very big eaters, please dont be one of those people that think its ok to underfeed your tangs... they will basically eat as much as you feed them...

flakes are good for supplemental feeding... and personally i stay away from frozen foods, as they dont help the nutrient aspect of your system... spectrum pellets and ocean nutrition pellets (F1 & F2) are very good dry foods...

Interesting... You don't feed them Mysis??

I totally agree that tangs should NEVER be underfed!!! it's virtually impossible to overfeed a Tang (unless you have no common sense)... I use grazing blocks instead of NORI... pretty much the same thing though.. Just drop a block in in the morning, And it's gone by the time I get home...

I've never heard of the grazing blocks... Do they just float on the top? With my overflow I'm not sure that would work...???

no they sink to the bottom... they are made by instant ocean... If they floated they would never make it in a reef system... 95% of all reefers have an overflow... Mine is dual overflow
