Filamented flasher wrasse

I added one of the beautiful wrasse's on Saturday. Yesterday and today my Derasa clam has been unusually closed up. After waiting patiently, it started to open slightly and can obviously see a few nips on the mantle. I am not happy at all right now, since I'd much rather the clam than the fish. I have no clue how I will get him out of the tank, if it means keeping my clam out of harms way. Anybody have experience with this particular wrasse? From what I read up they are docile and reef/invert safe. Should I give it a few days, or start thinking of a removal approach?

I would wait a few days, I have one and a clam also. no problems here, it flashed alot when i first got it...but its all good now
