today i noticed when i was looking from the front of the tank up thrugh the surface that there is a very fine whitish film on the surface of the water. today is the first time i have noticed this. anyone have this happen and what do i do about it. i have 3 diffrent peices of equipment breaking the surface but its not breaking it up enugh?

sometimes just breaking up the surface water won't do it, you need to skim the surface via an overflow box/ or surface skimmer.....

go bigger than 5....if you have a 29 gallon i would recomment a 15 at least. I have a 20L with a 10 sump and evaporation drops the water level in the sump low after about 2 days. Also a 5 gallon tank will have too much water movement through it
