Finding a new fish or two to add, ideas please

a bunch of Barnacle Blennies. I've always gotta recommend 'em. By far the most amusing fish in my tank. I've gotten a few people hooked on them and plan on getting more myself :)

I second the rainfordi goby.. I have had mine for about a two years now. stays small maybe 2".. nibbles at the sand and rock all day. quite peacful also.:D

How about a Midas Blenny or Mystery wrasse? The Blenny gas a good personality and the wrasse is just spectacular looking (although expensive). Those are the only 2 other fish I am going to add. By the way is that a deep blue edge 57g? I should be getting mine next Tuesday

Have you made a decision?

I just went with a small 6 line and a half dozen chromis, so in a few months it will probably be one 6 line and one fat chromis...

lol ... i feel ya there .....i wonder how others have so many .

They tend to whittle themselves down regardless. Not even direct aggression so much as it is an odd process where the weakest fish falls out of the school and then withers away.

i gave up on chromis. i like them but they look best as a group. I want to get a pair of blue velvet damsels but dont want to introduce any aggression. I have a zebra damsel and hes a model citizen but i also have 2 pairs of clowns. Afraid if i mix it up to much, everything is gonna go bad.

I have had the whittle down thing happen to me too with the Chromas , they say heavy feed helps but who knows

i also like the schooling fish, and would like to get a 1/2 dozen or so in my tank.thinkin maybe anthias. im gonna start a thread on "thoughts of" and "first hand experiances" of schooling fish. tha way i dont hi-jack johns thread..lol

we dont have schooling fish. Mostly just fish that show a social behavior. Anthias are a good choice for that but make sure to sex them. I think you can have several females to one male.

Are you worried about the 6line jumping? Any plans on covering the tank?

5 Bar Mystery and a Flame Angel would have been my fish choice:).... I did not see any thing the flame could eat except some zoas so you should sell me those to make it easy ... I saw:: some xmens in the photo have a frag around?

Dont get any damsels, ever. Go with small shoal PJ Cardinals or captive bred bangii, hawkfish if you dont have shrimp, a mandarin will survive in there. pygmy angel? Watchman Goby/pistol shrimp are awesome and easy. stock er up!

I've never had issues with 6 lines jumping in the past so I'm not particularly worried about this one.

FWIW my display is rimless and I have the water set a bit low to prevent spill overs when cleaning so a fish has to jump up a good 2" + to go carpet surfing.
