The other week I restocked my tank with two new clowns. Tank has been established for several months and definitely cycled long ago. Inverts have been in the tank for some time, including hermits and a conch, and no issue with them.
About 4-5 days after the fish had been in the tank, one died, then a few days later the 2nd died as well. I have a slight suspicion that the larger red hermit was hungry at some point in the night and somehow picked off each of the fish.
Thoughts? Can’t think why the inverts would be happily alive, but the newer fish passed. I guess possibly the fish could have been newly delivered to the LFS and the stress over all didn’t help.
Thanks
