its a 55gal....i wanted to get a pair of clowns, maybe a small tang if i can find one small enuff that i think it wont hurt the fish at all...maybe a couple of bangai cardinals too.....so what shud i feed them

i usually by everything of drfostersmith but i may just pick it up at seaworld next time i go by

thanks alot

First thing I wouldn't put any tangs in a 55 gal it's just too small of a tank. It sucks because I've always wanted a tang in my 55 but it's just too small. :(

I feed my fish brine shrimp, mysis shrimp and a veggie cube and I alternate everyday so that they get a variety of food. As a LFS once told me "would you like to eat the same thing everyday?"

On a side note there are 2 much better stores than the one mentioned in you post in the Salem NH area that are less than 5 mins away with MUCH better pricing on livestock, dry goods and much better advise to give...

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say which ones they are but... In the sponser forum one of them is the first one and the other is the 5th down...

Just a tip... Aquarium Gallery in Hudson, NH has really cheap CUC -- And you don't have to worry about them dying in shipping.

"well im almost at the fish stage"

I hope this tank is cycled.

Is there a sickness going around?

Also I second the thought that your tank hopefully is fully cycled before you put livestock in (including CUC) For the good of the species you intend to purchase please make sure it's fully cycled.

Also when you put in new live rock you will prob still get another recycle. The only way you could avoid this is if you get fully cured live rock from another tank. If you get the live rock from a LFS it will still need to be cycled.

Some LR has been sitting around in LFS tanks for so long that it's definitely cycled.

oo yea i know it has to be cycled...ill just be waiting for the fish stage..believe me ive done almost 9 months of research

and the tang thing i know what your saying..but i also plan on going bigger

ill probably go by aa to buy my food then

Oh and what kind of food depends on the type of fish you plan to have. They all have varying diets.
