Hello All,
I need some help. I'm about to start my 33 gallon Red Sea Nano Max XL in a week or so and I have a question about cycling. I bought Dr. Tims Ammonia and the Nitrifying bacteria but when I read the instructions on their website it's a bit different that waht everyone else has done from what I have heard. I have CaribSea Special grade live sand , dry rock and nutri seawater that I will use to fill the tank. This is the email I received from Dr. Tims. My question is, when do i add the ammonia and when do i add the nitrifying bacteria? thanks!
Hello
Add sand, rock, water turn on heater, skimmer and circulating pump for 24 hours.
After 24 hours
Turn skimmer off
Leave filter media in
Measure ammonia and nitrite.
Add One and Only and then add ammonia adjusting for the present of any ammonia.
After 48 hours turn skimmer on
