flatworm exit doesn't exit!?

If I remember correctly it was 2 drops for every five gallons, used it recently and worked great for me,suppose to remove coal bag, need to extract as many flat worms as fast and as possible, although flat worm exit is not dangerous to a reef tank the toxans given off the dead flat worms are deadly to a tank. or just by a coral banded shrimp or six line wrasse to help with the worms, they eat that stuff.

Do they look like anything on this page?
http://melevsreef.com/id/pods.html
or this one?
http://melevsreef.com/id/flatworm.html
http://melevsreef.com/id/sponge.html

Let us know if it matches any of those. We can then tell you whether to stress or not :)

Thanks,
Mauro

No, they're not pods or sponges. They're not the red flatworms but they are definately flatworms. I've tried to take a pic but my macro is just not good enough. All I get is a fuzzy dot. They did not entirely go away but it seems like the exit did have some effect. I can still see some on the glass, but only about a dozen.

It amazes me how this stuff snowballs. NO....NOT ALL FLATWORMS ARE A PROBLEM. If they are not eating your corals, and they are not a plague like the red photosynthetic ones then leave them alone. There are hundreds or possibly thousands of species. Most are harmless detritivores.

This reminds me of the fear of bristleworms people used to have 5-10 years ago. Stop trying to kill things in your tank with chemicals until you KNOW they are a problem.
