Flood narrowly avoided

Ok so yesterday I made about 20 extra gallons of ro/di so I could do a 40 gallon water change today. This morning I was getting ready to go into Quincy for the afternoon and just popped into the fish room to notice a dark spot on the rug. Upon closer inspection I found a pinhole in my 55gallon Rubbermaid tough barrel. Ahhhh I freaked out, but luckily I had this white clam broth barrel in the basement. I got it years ago and never did anything with it. So quickly I cut a hole in the top and pumped all the water over, then I did a giant water change. Almost had 40 something gallons of water on my floor if I had just left. Thought I would share and encourage everyone to have OCD like me and always check things.

Now does anyone local have any of these barrels they would like to get rid of?

Good thing you caught it in time. Redundancy is a good thing. Always have a back up it fall back plan.

Nice. Good thing you spotted before leaving the house. Soaked carpet is the worst!

I had one and buying one tomorrow, not chancing it anymore!
I never think of tractor supply and harbor freight for some reason
