Wondering if anyone had any experience with wartskin frogfish or a fuzzy dwarf lionfish.
-what size tank should i get?
-lighting?
-reef safe?
-can any other fish go with them?
-how big do they get?
-food?

if someone could please post with some answers, i would appreciate it.

I have a fuzzy and anglers (but not a wart skin specifically).

My fuzzy is in a 12 gallon nanocube.... too small for him. He will be going in a 24 gallon when the current occupant moves out of that one. A 24 would be the smallest I would get. The nanocubes are a good shape for them... the height is nice verses a long breeder type tank of the same volume.

Reef safe: No. Not really. You could get away with it if it didn't have any fish that was equal to or smaller than the dwarfs adult size. The reef also wouldn't be able to have any ornamental shrimp or crabs. If those conditions are met, then yes, you could keep a fuzzy in a reef.

Size: Between 7-8" including the tail.

Other fish... well not the angler. They are a natural predator of the lionfish. Nippy fish are also out... they love to nip at the long flowy spines. The fish has to be at least the size of the dwarf or larger as I said above. I don't really have any specific tankmate recommendations.. Niger (pink tail and blue cheek) are suppose to be safe. But you would have to adjust the minimum tank requirement to include them.

Lighting is immaterial. Always have shaded areas available for any fish when they are in a bright environment.

Food. I feed fresh table shrimp, frozen silversides or krill on Mon. Wed. and Friday. He'll eat whatever I give him really.

i would definately stray away from the frogfish if you are leaning towards a reef tank. i have seen some beautiful reefs with lions in them. you just need to know the out comes of having a lion. its going to be a big fish with a big bio load. meaning you may need to get a larger skimmer, so keep up with the guy. also you will be limited to the shrimp option. i have seen reefs with lions and shrimp, but it is rare and unlucky to happen all the time

dwarf dont eat corals i have 2 dwarf fuzzy and the only problem ive had was them eating my pepperment shrimp they do fine with fish that they cant eat i also have a small zebra moray with them and a peacock wasp fish there great addition to a reef that is if your tank is big enough and your fish are big enough
