glass thermometer broke in tank

i had a glass thermometer inside my overflow that got broken is there mercury in the aquarium thermometers what should i do run some carbon or what i do not know

i dont believe newer thermometers have mercury in them
you can google specs on type of brand thermometer
carbon couldnt hurt. i dunno what else is in them

i could be wrong, but do heaters have copper wiring?

I doubt it's mercury unless it is really really old.

Carbon can't hurt though.

I haven't seen a mercury aquarium thermometer in forever... +1 on carbon, it will at least give you a little bit peace of mind...
