glass tops with leds

Can you use glass lops with leds. If not what type of mesh do u use. i need to keep the fish in and the cat out. will a reptile top work?. let me know what u think

This is not small enough for almost any of the "smaller" Wrasses, and definitely not any Goby, Firefish, Jawfish, etc. Instead, I recommend 1/4" clear mesh sold by Bulk Reef Supply. Use that and a window screen kit from your hardware store and you are good to go. I don't recommend glass tops over a reef tank as you will need to constantly clean the underside of the glass which is not fun. Here is what my mesh tops look like on my 125:

I use the bulkreefsupply DIY mesh top, same as Marshall uses. Easy to do and works great.
