Gold torch

My guess is that it is because the commercial market for them is entirely dependent on wild-harvested specimens. I bought a single gold torch head about 3 years ago. Now I have 3 heads, but none are separated by skeleton, so still not fraggable. All my other euphyllias split many times over during that time period. Not sure if that is the same experience others have had, but I think it is an exceptionally slow grower.
