Great Meeting Today

If anyone filmed it and would like to make some DVD copies for the library that would be great. The officers and BOD members just haven't had enough time to get something like this organized for every meeting. It would be great to have a volunteer(s) come forward that could tape most outside speaker presentations and then make copies for the library.

Im new to this club and was wondering what these meetings are all about.

secret stuff!! pssst keep it on the DL:p

I would have done it....I don't have equipment though..:( Bummed that they didn't tape this one....This was a nice presentation for all.... would have been a popular one too!!!

Generally speaking, the meetings are planned around a presentation usually given by a well known speaker (or speakers) who has been brought in by the BoD to provide insights to the membership on whatever happens to be their particular field of expertise. Speakers range from experts on lighting and chemistry, to livestock and breeding, there is always something new to learn, and the BoD makes sure we are afforded the opportunity to learn by working hard to bring in these speakers for us. Sometimes, instead of bringing in a speaker, the BoD will instead arrange for some educational workshops and demos to be carried out by some of the more experienced BRS members who have knowledge to share on a variety of subjects. After the "main event" pizza is normally served :) (a small donation is requested from those who eat to help cover the cost of the pizza). The meetings are also a great place to meet the rest of the membership and put faces to the names you see and words you read all the time. At the conclusion of every meeting (with the exception of the auction meetings) there is an informal "frag swap" in which members buy and sell propagated livestock and used equipment from each other, this is a great way to get some great deals on things you may have been looking for but have been unable to find or were unable to afford brand new. ;) :)

It is a good time for all, and almost always a valuable learning experience.
