Green cap has red spot on it and is bleaching

looks almost like cyano. all around this spot has bleached, should i frag the spot off?

That does look like cyano. Is that the only place in the tank where you see it? I would siphon it off, fragging it is up to you. It's possible that the piece has STN, and the cyano just found an opportunity to grow.

No cyano anywhere else. It's spreading so I'm going to snip the dead part off

check ur alkalinity

baking soda would help raise ur alk

How down is it? Get it raised up but don't do it too fast

I can't hardly tell where the spot is in that picture.
But,I do see a zoa or button polyp near the back.
Those will sting and cause damage to caps.
