My tanks are in my classroom, so I try and keep them presentable all the time as I always have "guests" in the classroom. I've started including students in some of the basic maintenance and testing.

Clean the inside of the glass and then the outside with a mix of rubbing alcohol and RODI so it's nice and crisp

I usually spend about a half an hour every evening after dinner. Up, you know cleaning the glass or a pump or something.
So if I have family coming over for dinner or something like that, I usually don't do much of anything because they're not going to spend much time paying attention.
If I have reef-related people coming over then I'll probably spend an extra few minutes before they get there. Also, it's because I am usually going to sell something so I like to be a little extra clean.

Just clean the glass.
Everything else should be tidy during your routine maintenance.
