Hagen Fluval E series 300w heater

I got this Fluval E series 300w heater for my tank.
I put it tonight in the sump when I started the tank up and noticed it flashing in the led heater display. According to the error messages that's supposed to mean that there is too much flow for the heater to keep up.

Has anyone experienced this before?
I didn't really want to add anything to the dt and would prefer to keep the heater in the sump. I was going to get another heater and place it in the chamber with the return pump.

I had one before. If it's blinking blue or red it's more than 5.5° low or high of the set point. Solid green is perfect.

It says this on the website:
"Should any external heat sources or other equipment, such as chillers, cause the aquarium water temperature to rise or fall beyond 3 °C or 5.5 °F, the colored screen will flash, indicating a potential risk."

Thanks
I'll put it back in the sump.
I just turned it on for the 1st time yesterday so I should of expected that.

Was it just flashing a color or did it have letters too? It bill have letters if it's a flow issue and color if it temp or both for both. I like my E series it's worked great

I have this heater. If it is flashing it is not enough flow. It is housed in a protective plastic housing and if the water doesn't flow well it flashes.
